“How many deaths must we endure / Before the President will stop dreaming / And start listening to his people?” | The popular cliché of President Aquino : “Ang Matuwid Na Daan” must not start and end with the slogan. On the 100th day after he won by a landslide, the Filipino nation has yet to see how this winning slogan will be converted into realization. Instead of being a champion to the cause of the masses who put their trust to him last May 2010 election, series of incidents put our country into quagmire of poverty and shame. The President and his cabinets who really wanted to project themselves as a dream team are indeed a dream team. A team whose only function is to dream.

By Arnold Padilla - (See the short video on Sitio San Roque’s demolition produced by multimedia production group Kodao Productions by following this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvQchQ7EOBoWhile late because a temporary restraining order (TRO) has already been issued yesterday (Sep. 23) by a local trial court, Pres. Aquino’s order to suspend the forced relocation of residents of an urban poor community in North Triangle must be welcomed if only for the temporary respite it brings. But the issue is far from settled since the suspension simply intends to allow the “orderly” demolition of the remaining shanties.
